1. Why should I join Delta Phi Omega and how will it benefit me?

Unlike many misconceptions and stereotypes of "sororities," Delta Phi Omega can benefit members with strong bonds of lifelong sisterhood, community service opportunities, networking and emphasis on academic excellence. Joining a Greek organization can greatly enhance your collegiate experience.

2.  How can I join Delta Phi Omega?

To be considered for a bid to join Delta Phi Omega, one must possess a 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher, attend at least one informational and two additional events during Recruitment Week, and have an interest in South Asian culture. Our organization welcomes all types nationalities, you do not have to be of South Asian descent to join!

3. What is recruitment?
Recruitment is typically a week of events which allows potential members to learn more about our organization's background and history, meet the sisters as well as meet other members of Greek life.
It is an exciting time for potential members as well as sisters! Events can include but are not limited to: mixers with other organizations, activities, food, and game night!

 

4. When do you ladies usually recruit?
We usually recruit twice a year - once at the beginning of Fall semester and again during the beginning of Spring semester.

5. How much will it cost for me to attend recruitment events?
NOTHING. Absolutely every recruitment event is FREE!

6. What is the difference between DPO and any other Greek organization?
Delta Phi Omega is the largest sorority of its kind, as well as the ONLY South Asian sorority classified as both a Social and Service organization. We are considered a Multicultural Greek Organization, which means we focus on promoting South Asian culture throughout our communities.

7. What do sisters of Delta Phi Omega do on a regular basis?
We focus on spreading South Asian awareness, promoting children's literacy and education, female leadership and building strong bonds among our members. To achieve these goals, we plan many types of events such as philanthropic, social, sisterhood, cultural, and fundraising events.
