Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc.'s national philanthropy focuses on children's education and literacy. We are staunch in our beliefs that the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. By ensuring that each child receives a quality education and has the ability to read and write, Delta Phi Omega enables each child to harness his or her potential and take strides towards changing the future. Our efforts in our philanthropy are most visible in our annual Literacy Through Unity week, a national initiative which has raised close to $25,000 for children's education and literacy. The sisters of Delta Phi Omega hope to reach beyond the community at their university by remaining connected to the world around them and proactive in the endless efforts towards global human progress. Progress towards this great goal begins with the neighboring citizens and students of Atlanta metro area and its surrounding community, and extends beyond this nation's borders into the slums of India. Tau Chapter of Delta Phi Omega hopes to rid the distinction of illiteracy in certain impoverished locals by improving the lives of the youth to better the future.
